Learning Style

If I had to list learning styles in the order that I think I’m the strongest in I think that would be aural, kinestistic, and visual.  I would rather someone just tell me what I need to know or do instead of having to read a book or read directions.  When taking online classes I find it difficult sometimes to catch everything that needs to be completed until I reread several times.  I also enjoy completing hands on activities.  I think this would label me as a multi modal of learner but really prefer auditory.  I think that I do work on it by taking online classes!  I dropped my first online class in college because I didn’t think that I could get the information and apply it to my assignments well enough to pass the class.  This class will make online class number twelve
and I have passed all of them.
What did I do?
Evaluate my style of learning.
What did I learn?
I have learned that I'm a visual learner.
How will I use it?
I will try to appeal to this type of learner in my classroom and others.
ISTE NETS-T Standards

I think that the standard that is most related to this activity is 4-b and 5-d.  This standard address needs of all learners have an equal opportunity to learn by using different teaching strategies so that all students can grasp the curriculum.  By teachers understanding that students all learn differently they can better prepare to teach.  The second standard allows me to contribute to the effectiveness of teaching in my school and community.
