What did I do?
I had to download a YouTube video onto my computer so that I can use it in the future if the author of the video removed it from the Internet.
What did I learn?
This assignment was interesting because I don't watch many YouTube videos. I use Teacher Tube when I'm looking for information because it's easy to access at school. I used a converter by the name of Xilisoft YouTube Converter and this is the link that is free to download Xilisoft Website. It was easy to use and saved my video quickly to my computer.
How can I use it?
I could use a converter if I needed to download a video for the use in my classroom. I usually stay away from YouTube and use Teacher Tube. We also have the ability to request access to YouTube video's that we want to show in our classroom's. If I wanted to store it onto my computer for future years this would be helpful.
The standard that is most related to this activity is 3-a and 3-c. I think that this assignment allows me to demonstrate fluency in technology and transferring current knowledge to new situations. Allows me to relate relevant information and ideas.
