What did I do?
For this assignment I had to take my PowerPoint and make it work in Prezi.
What did I learn?
I really liked Prezi. I think in many ways that it’s better than PowerPoint. I liked the way that I could place items any where I wanted and didn’t have to worry about adding text and graphic boxes. It’s always seems to take more time in PowerPoint because I have to make sure I’m selecting the appropriate slide for what I want to add. It’s similar in the fact that the end results are the same and that is making presentations for people to view. I think it was easy to connect the way I wanted to view text then select the picture I wanted to go with it. I think that the advantages are that is located on the web I wouldn’t have to worry about forgetting to take it with me I could just pull it up from anyplace. With only working with Prezi this one time I don’t see any disadvantages to using it but I might find something if I used it enough.
How can I use it?
I can use this when creating presentations. It would always be accessible on the Internet and I could work on it from any place.
ISTE NETS-T Standards
The standard that is most related to this activity is 2-a and 2-b. This standard allows me to design and adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporated digital tools and allows me to use my own creative ability. The second standard enables all students to pursue their individual curiosities.
