What did I do?
I wanted to do a Power Point that would be useful in my classroom so I picked How to make sugar cookies. My students that I work with are MI/Autism. They are either nonverbal or on a Kindergarten reading level. This slide was created to assist with my Life Skills class. We usually cook two or three times a week. Using verbal, pictures, and words with help them become more independent.
What did I learn?
I have done many power point presentations and been trained on the program as well. I didn't realize that if I would try and upload a power point that I would have to convert it to a pdf file.
How will I use it?
I will use the power point that I created in my classroom this fall. It will be very helpful for my students to increase there independence.
ISTE NETS-T Standards
The standard that is most related to this activity is 3-c and 3-d. This standard allows me to demonstrate fluency in technology and transfers current knowledge to new situations. The second standard allows me to model and facilitate effective use of current digital tools.
